5.) Palm Springs

Palm Springs is home to the world’s largest collection of intact mid-century modern residential and commercial structures. The new Les Cactus hotel (starting at $286 per night) appears like it was inspired by the Beverly Hills Hotel’s road trip and is an Instagrammer’s dream! There’s rattan furniture, hammocks, and plenty of cacti in this classic desert décor (plus it’s pet-friendly!)

4.) Joshua Tree

The ever famous Joshua Tree is a well-known place for star gazing and reconnecting with nature. By driving, it’s about an hour and a half from Palm Springs and a little under three hours from Los Angeles. Make a night of it at The Castle House Estate (from $336 per night), where you may stay in one of their stunning yurts, DIY camping sites, or a little house in their shipping container home.

1.) Ojai

Ojai is a charming little bohemian hideaway that’s no longer a secret, but it’s still worth a visit for the climb up to Mediation Mount and the cute pixie citrus groves.
